NuStart Natural gut conditioner

NuStart Natural gut conditioner

NuStart is a unique combination of essential oils, prebiotics, functional fibres, and natural antioxidants. It also includes a precise profile of vitamins and trace elements required by young animals.

NuStart promotes healthy rumen development, encourages intake and improves performance. NuStart is used in Provimilk milk replacers, and is available for use in creep feeds. This provides a strong link between milk and solid food which aids weaning.

The benefits of NuStart

Nutrition and management during the first weeks of life have a lasting influence on lifetime performance. Getting animals off to a good start will contribute to replacement heifers calving down at 24 months, well grown beef animals, or lambs reaching target weights on time. During the first weeks of life, the young ruminant undergoes major changes as it starts to digest solid food and begins to develop the rumen. The choice of starter nutrition has a huge impact on rumen development and therefore significantly affects lifetime performance.

NuStart supports development of young ruminants in a variety of ways:

  • Supporting healthy gut microflora
  • Developing the rumen
  • Improving dry food intake

NuStart drives performance and reduces the animal’s susceptibility to disease

  • Improved solid feed intake and more efficient feed conversion. Trials show an improvement of 17% extra growth in calf and lamb trials.
  • Improved rumen development resulting from the functional fibres within NuStart gives young animals a head start when they move on to concentrates and forages

Health benefits

  • A healthy balance of gut microflora resulting from the combined action of the probiotics and essential oils in NuStart. This improves digestion and helps reduce chances of scour
  • An improved immune system resulting from high levels of potent polyphenol natural antioxidants in NuStart along with a generous level of vitamin E

Easy weaning

  • NuStart develops the digestive system leading to easier weaning, avoiding growth checks.
  • Improved performance in early life reduces overall cost per kg growth and increases profit.

Disclaimer

Feeding rates are estimates, and other factors, such as animal health and environment, can have a greater impact on how animals perform. There is no guarantee that animals will perform as expected if fed the suggested rates. Rations should be balanced to provide enough energy and protein for animals, and they should include enough forage to keep the rumen healthy. Animals also need access to fresh water at all times.
