Yea-Sacc 1026

Yea-Sacc 1026 is a live yeast culture based on Saccharomyces cerevisiae strain 1026, a yeast strain specifically selected for its influence on animal performance. With a low inclusion rate and a large body of research clarifying its mode of action and performance responses, Yea-Sacc is ideal for beef, dairy, calf and equine feeds.

Why do GP Feeds feel YEA-SACC is beneficial to farmers?

    • Stimulates dry matter intake in early lactation, especially of forage. This can be up to 10% extra.
    • Follows on from the use of yeasts in excel dry cow rolls and mineral.
    • High usage in herds yielding over 9,000 litres per cow.
    • Helps rumen function especially stimulating bacteria that utilise lactic acid thus reducing risk of acidosis.
    • Possible increase in butterfat % especially in diets where crude protein is at 17%.
    • Promotes good growth rates and intakes in calf diets.
    • Improves the digestion of higher fibre forages and starch.
    • Significant trial work to substantiate claims.

Feeding yeasts in diets where there are problems is not the only answer and it is not the answer to poor diet formulation in our experience.
